This itinerary takes you from the savannahs of Tanzania to the rainforests of Uganda, blending wildlife encounters with cultural insights. You’ll witness the Great Migration in the Serengeti, cross into the Maasai Mara, trek through Kibale’s chimpanzee forests, and come face-to-face with mountain gorillas in Bwindi. Along the way, you’ll meet Maasai warriors, Ugandan guides, and conservationists who will share their stories, making this journey as much about people as it is about nature.

Itineraries
Day 1
Arrival in Arusha
You arrive in Arusha, the gateway to Tanzania’s northern circuit. The city is bustling, but your lodge is an oasis of calm. You spend the evening relaxing, perhaps sipping a drink on the terrace as the sun sets over Mount Meru. You sleep well, excited for the adventure ahead.

Day 2
Fly Into the Serengeti
After breakfast, you fly to the Serengeti. The journey takes about less than 2 hours. By afternoon, you’re in the heart of the Serengeti, where the air hums with life. Your guide points to a lioness resting under a tree. “She’s waiting for her pride,” he says.

Day 3
The Circle of Life
At dawn, you’re out again, the air crisp and cool. A herd of elephants crosses the road, their footsteps silent on the dusty earth. Later, you could stumble upon a cheetah family—a mother and her cubs.

Day 4
The Maasai Connection
Today, you visit a Maasai village on the edge of the Serengeti. The warriors welcome you with a traditional dance, their red shukas bright against the green landscape. One of them, a young man named Lemayian, tells you about their way of life. “We live with the land,” he says. “The lions are our neighbors, not our enemies.” You sit with the women as they bead jewelry, their hands moving swiftly. They laugh as you try to thread a bead, and you realize how much joy exists in simplicity.

Day 5
Fly, crossing into the Mara
You cross into Kenya’s Maasai Mara, a seamless extension of the Serengeti. The Mara feels wilder, the grasslands stretching endlessly.

Day 6
The Mara’s Drama
Today, you witness the Mara’s raw drama.

Day 7
Transfer to Kibale
You fly to Uganda, where the landscape changes dramatically. The flight from Nairobi to Entebbe takes about 1.5 hours, followed by a about 6 hour drive to Kibale. Kibale’s rainforest is a world of green, alive with birdsong and the chatter of monkeys.

Day 8
Chimp Trekking
Nothing to add! Youre in the primate capital of the world, and it's chimps tracking day!
Day 9
Transfer to Bwindi’s Misty Mountains
You drive to Bwindi, a journey of about 6 hours. The air is cool, and the mountains are shrouded in mist. The trek is tough, but when you finally see the gorillas, it’s worth every step. A silverback sits majestically, his eyes wise and calm.
