Best Time To Travel

June – September (Dry Season) → The ultimate time for gorilla trekking and safari adventures. Roads are smooth, trails are dry, and wildlife spotting is at its best.

December – February (Short Dry Season) → Great for exploring Kigali, visiting Lake Kivu, or hiking Volcanoes National Park.

March – May & October – November (Wet Season) → Lush landscapes, fewer crowds, and budget-friendly, but expect muddy trekking conditions

NB: With climate change, every weather is now possible. Please keep this in mind

Flights & Airlines to Rwanda

Kigali International Airport (KGL) is Rwanda’s main gateway. Direct flights arrive from:

  • Europe: Brussels Airlines, KLM, Turkish Airlines
Middle East: Qatar Airways, Emirates (via Nairobi or Addis Ababa)
  • Africa: RwandAir (connects to Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa, and beyond), Ethiopian Airlines
  • USA: No direct flights—connect via Europe or Africa
  • Flights arrive throughout the day, but late-night arrivals are common. Kigali’s airport is small but efficient, and immigration is usually a breeze.
