Day 1

Arrival at Entebbe International Airport

The day you set foot in Uganda has arrived. Our company representatives shall pick you from the airport and check you in at your booked hotel for relaxation, as you prepare for the next days travel.

Day 2

Time : 01:30

Drive to Murchison Falls National Park

Drive to Murchison Falls, stopping to track rhinos at Ziwa. Feel the thunder of the falls before relaxing at your lodge.

Travel time - Approx 1.5hrs

Lodge - Nile Safari Lodge or Papa's Camp

Visiting the top of the Murchison Falls - The most powerful waterfalls in the world, feeling the mist of the water on our skin and enjoying the views of the falls.

Day 3

Game Drive, Launch Cruise on River Nile

After out breakfast, we head out for an early morning game drive to come into close proximity with the wild! Be on the look for African buffalos, antelopes, hippos, elephants, lions and various birds. After a thorough game viewing, we shall go have lunch as we wait for a late afternoon boat cruise to the bottom of the falls. During our cruise, you will come face to face with some reptiles, elephants and many birds. We return to the lodge for an evening and overnight.

Day 4

Drive to Kibale National Park

After our breakfast in Murchison, we drive west to Kibale National Park where we turn in for the night at our booked safari lodge.

Highlights:

Transfer to Kibale Forest NP on road (approx. 4 hours).
Overnight stay near Kibale Forest NP.

Lodge: Chimpundu Lodge or Primates Lodge

Day 5

Chimpanzee Tracking- Kibale Forest National Park

This marvellous Kibale Forest holds the widest variety and highest concentration of primates in the world. On a guided nature walk, we encounter wild chimpanzees, red-tailed monkeys, black-and white colobus monkeys and more. We return to our lodge for lunch and later set out to Bigodi Swamp, an ideal place for bird lovers. After a satisfying day of exploration, we return to our lodge in time for dinner.

Day 6

Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park

We check out of our lodge and head to Queen Elizabeth National Park, admiring the magnificent views of the vibrant crater lakes, cradled in vegetation and gentle hills. We reach just in time for lunch, and take off the rest of the evening to rest.

Day 7

Queen Elizabeth National Park; Game Drive, Boat Cruise

Our morning starts with a game drive. This is a great opportunity for wildlife sightings as animals tend to be more active in the wee hours. Be on the look for bushbucks, elephants, lions, hippos, buffalos and many more. After a thorough game drive we head out on an afternoon boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel. Hippos, crocodiles, and other mammals, reptiles, and birds congregate at the shores in the afternoon heat. After our boat cruise, we return to our lodge for dinner and a night over.

Day 8

Transfer to Ishasha Sector

Head to Ishasha for the legendary tree-climbing lions. Sunset game drive in the golden savannah.

Day 9

Full-Day Ishasha Safari

Explore Ishasha with morning and evening game drives. Think leopards, elephants, and raw wilderness.

Day 10

Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

We depart from the Ishasha, taking a chance to set eyes on the tree climbing lions of Ishasha if the weather permits. The guide will advise which turn to take. We cross stunning landscapes to reach Bwindi National Park, where we will seek out another rare creature, the Mountain Gorilla.

Day 11

Gorilla Trekking - Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast, we set out for a briefing at the park offices where we are allocated gorilla tracking groups and given tips in preparation for a close encounter with the gorillas. Guided by an experienced tracker, we brave a challenging trek through Bwindi Impenetrable Forest; it may take minutes or hours of pushing through vegetation before we set our eyes on a dominant silverback male and his group. Upon return from the deep forest, you will receive your gorilla tracking certificate, and later, after refreshing at the lodge, set out for a community walk, a charming experience with the local people and a closer look into their culture.

Day 12

Second Gorilla Trek – Double the Magic!

A second day of gorilla trekking to explore a different family. Celebrate your adventure with a sundowner.

Day 13

Fly back to Kampala/Entebbe

Return to Entebbe via kisoro airstrip, and take the rest of the evening reflecting on your safari.

Day 14

Transfer back to airport

Our time with you is over, and it was awesome being with you all these days! We shall transfer you back to the airport to catch your flight.
