Ever wondered what “King Kong” from Disney looks like in real life? Well, you don’t have to look any further. Our country Uganda prides in hosting over half of the world’s King Kongs; the Mountain Gorillas! This 3-day trip takes you on a thrill to meet face to face to what most of our people believe they are our closest relatives.

We shall spice the trip up with a visit to Lake Bunyonyi, one of the most beautiful lakes in East Africa, and considered the deepest lake in Uganda with 29 islands. These beautiful adventures are located in the south western part of Uganda.

Itineraries

Day 1

Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, Kabale

Upon arrival at the airport, we branch off to Entebbe for a quick snack before we start our journey to Kabale, the home of Lake Bunyonyi. Upon arrival, we check into our lodge, grab a snack and head out to tour this beautiful lake. Look out for different bird species and vegetation as you take on a boat cruise to visit some of the 29 islands.
By the end of this tour, you are chilled out and a nice warm bath is at your disposal at the lodge. Take that nice rest as you prepare for your dinner and the next day’s adventure, Mountain Gorilla Trekking!

Day 2

Gorilla Trekking, Bwindi

On this day, we have a very early morning breakfast and head direct to Bwindi, the home of Mountain Gorillas. Be sure to wake up early as we have to be at the gate before 8am for briefing by our guides.
After briefing, with packed lunch, the trek begins. This can take between 3 hours to 8 hours to meet face to face with these giants. We are given a maximum of 1 hour to admire them, take pictures and basically enjoy them. After, we return to the base to receive our trekking certificates.
We head straight back to our lodge in Bunyonyi for relaxation for the rest of the evening as we prepare to transfer back to Kampala the next day

Day 3

Transfer to Kampala

This day marks the end of our adventure. We drive leisurely back to Kampala, making a stop at the equator to take some pictures, and probably buy some souvenirs, then head straight to the airport for your PCR tests as you await your flight back home.
